just bout four days ago, i turned seventeen. may sound a small number to others but to me, it kinda makes me feel.. old? >_<
this year was alil different compared to the other years. i still remember my first birthday party when i turned thirteen. it was held at my home, with a number of schoolmates. even had some lame games and the hiking up to the hill behind my house. kinda fun when we were still immature and childish. lol. then the following year, when i turned fourteen.. we went to pizza hut for dinner then movie. that was fun too! its still fresh in my mind.. the birthday cake, with them singing "happy birthday" in public.. gosh, my tears are gona flow out anytime. i even still remember who came and who dint. oh yeah, i was supposed to treat everyone that came but at the end.. they all paid for the bill. i was really touched over what they did. really happy =’ ) *sniff*
a year later, when i turned 15.. it was one of my worst ever. but come to think bout it, it wasnt that bad after all. i went out for a movie with my bestfriend during that time and a guy i had a crush on also during that time. yup, we watched Spiderman and head straight home after that. no parties, no cakes AT ALL. eventho the guy totally forgot that it was actually my birthday, but it was a worth one cos that was when our friendship started growing = ) and also, that was my first and last birthday that i actually spent the whole entire day with my.. ex-bestfriend.
then came sixteen.. the year where everyone labels, Sweet Sixteen. to me, it wasnt that sweet like how it was described. it was more to a rough and bitter year. but the day came and i had a barbeque party at my place. it was pretty lame cos only bout less than 10 people came. *lmao* but it was also one of my unforgetable moments cos that was my first time having a male friend staying over at my place! not one but.. humm.. three? yeah, since i dint blow any candles the year before.. guess what? i had two cakes when i turned sixteen! XP
right now, am seventeen. also nothing much this year, but something different and extra special. i sorta had an early celebration [26/08] since my real birthday falls during the SPM Trial. we went to Friends Cafe for dinner and i blew out the candles of a Crepe cake. not many people came, only my classmates, close friends and my brothers.
on the eve of my birthday [09/09], i went out for a sorta candlelit dinner? *lmao* yeah, this was what i meant by something different, something extra special. haha. anyway, it was just a close friend.. so whoever that saw me there, dont misunderstand okay? am single but not available! haha. joking. XD after the dinner, i met up with a few friends in Jonker Walk. ate sushi, bought stuff then went to Friends Cafe. hang out there for a bit then head home.
the next day, *weehee* its my burfday! lol. OH YEAH! did i forget to mention? a day before my birthday [09/09], i became an aunt! *woohoo* see.. told ya its different this year! its a baby girl, named Elisha. nice name rite? and very adorable too! X ) uhmm.. stayed home and spent my precious day with family. mum bought me an espresso birthday cheese cake from Secret Recipe. so.. i had two cakes for this year again! haha.. lucky me? XP
the conclusion of my stage turning seventeen is: it aint bad at all. with everything i’ve gone thru, i take it as a challenge and experience worth learning. like the quotes of.. what goes around, comes around. and one of my favorites.. make the past of your scars, into better future stars! ^_^v
